Advie on possible penetrating damp

In my bedroom I have a problem.
Inside the fitted wardrobes, on the internal corner of the house, I have an issue with damp.
It turned up a few moths ago.
I have hanging tiles on the front of my house. One of these tiles, which is close to this area, came off but was replaced almost immediately.
There is a rainpipe above the area, but no downpipe.
I have read lots about this problem.
The only thing I wonder is that the fitted wardrobes are old. Due to this, there was quite a draught coming through the joints. we decided to tape up these joints o prevent this draught.
Now is this a damp problem or could it to be with condensation?
with no air getting in there anymore. The problem did occur in autumn/winter.
any ideas, polite ones, would be appreciated.
Thanks
