Outer wall damp to touch - Please Advise! Damp can be a major issue in the home. Find answers to questions or post your own here.

Hi this is my first time posting her and i hope i have done the right thing.
We live in an ex council terrace house which is joined on one side and has a passage on the other. On the downstairs wall that goes onto the passage we often have a problem with thw walls feeling damp to the touch, freezing cold and; in the downstairs loo, even condensation like stuff running down the wall so it is actually wet. The tiled floor here is also wet from this. This problem occurs mostly in the winter.
The house has always been cold but we do have double glazing that was fitted about 5 years ago.
Has anyone got any ideas because i fear calling out a professional at this stage would cost money we dont have!

You will need a airbrick fitted to clear the damp with no ventilation it will only get worse.
with regards to the walls being cold to the touch,You could try glueing cork tiles on the walls as they are inexpensive and easy to install.
