Hello,
My kitchen wall is damp and I have removed the plaster to try and dry it out but I have noticed that the ground level outside is 4 inches higher.
previous owner has injected damp proofing but this is from the outside and is 8 inches higher than the internal ground level.
The wall is solid brick (1 brick length thick)
Any advice on how I can rectify would be appreciated.
Also the kitchen is generally damp as we do not have any direct heating in the room and from cooking etc the plaster seems to bubble and is going mouldy. I am going to remove the plaster and use bourding and replaster and have central heating installed. Will this resolve the issue?
