damp proofing garage

my garage wall has soil 225mm above the damp proof course, the inside shows no sign of damp at all, i want to take away the existing grass and replace it with flagging so i will be not going any lower then it is, do i need to damp proof the wall and if so what with or will it be o.k?

to stop damp,its best to remove as much soil as possible from the edge of the wall.You can reduce damp by filling the excavated area with chippings you can also use a ACO drainage system.
