Rising Damp help

Hi, we have had someone out to look at all of the jobs we need doing on our 100 odd year old end terrace. The cost is astronomical so we are trying to attack each job individually and do it as cheaply, but effectively as possible.
We appear to have rising damp (we had a dpc when we moved in 25 years ago) and it has been suggested that, instead of drilling more holes into the solid wall engineering brick, which will weaken it, we have it done from the inside and have the joists injected too.
The trouble is, on looking at DPC companies, they all suggest drilling into the brick.
Any ideas will be most welcome, I really am FedUpNow!
