damp proof membrane position

Hi,
I'm about to put a stud wall, and a raised wooden floor onto an existing concrete floor.
What I was thinking was to put down a damp proof membrane about 1 brick wide, put a single layer of brick on this, and then put the stud wall/floor boards on this. Is this the right way of doing it, or should I put the brick first, then the membrane, then the wood?
Thanks...
