Trying to fix a small case of rising damp in my basement.
After removing 1.5m of plaster from floor and the scirting boards, it appears as though the damp is coming from where the skirting boards were drilled in.
I was going to use dryzone cream then patch up and plaster. I also have to patch up the screw holes.
Could you advise what I should patch up with and what plastering stages I should take.
I was going to mix any mortar with waterproofing agent for the patching.
Then was told to use limelite restoration, no bonding agent, followed by limelite harsh impact finish, with no tanking, followed by normal painting, where I would have thought to use zinsser.
Could you please give me some direction in what plaster and various agents and what order I should be using them.
Thanks for your assistance,
Andy.
