Damp under front door but door looks ok - amy ideas?

by gtpattesting » Sat Jan 03, 2015 2:17 am

I have wet floorboards for around 2 inches under the front door , outside there are several holes I assume are chemical damp course going up to the front door, but stopping there as the doorstep is at that level, the holes also go up the side of the doorframe for some reason .

There is an access hole next to it so I can see underneath , not looked for a while but that also looked damp a while ago .

Should I try something like damp seal that you paint on the wall ?

Or do I need something else ?

the holes need sealing really, Try filling them with a clear silicone sealant, if you want to seal the wall try using aquaseal silicone paint it will dry transparent
