Possible Cause of Damp Patch Around 8 Inches off of Floor

About a month ago I had a damp proof injection done in my living room (we had rising damp). The walls were then rendered. Waiting for the walls to dry, we noticed a small patch that wasn't drying and, as you can see from the image, is still wet.
The damp patch is about 8 inches from the ground, and is visible through the paint.
Does anyone know what could be causing this patch? The house is a terrace, there are no other damp patches any where in that room after having the walls freshly rendered, and the affected area is nowhere near the upstairs bathroom (thinking along the lines that it is a leaking pipe?)
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
