3 story Terraced cottage that is built against a bank for the height of the ground floor.

Had property for about 2 years and noticed very slight progression of damp patch on bottom of one timber, not major , timber is slightly cooler to the touch and is starting to flake at the very out edges

Presume I will have to prop it up dig out around it seal the end etc. any tips for commissioning the job and in the meantime any substance that will protect.

Thanks

C

you will have to expose it and prop it obviously, You could wrap it in dpc and nail it to the beam.
Or Use lead and make a shoe for the end of the beam
