External Ground Breaching DPC in Offshot Kitchen

I have recently bought a terrace house with an offshot kitchen that had some damp on the back wall (not the kitchen wall). I got a damp specialist in who treated the back wall in February, however the damp is now returning.
Outside, the floor breaches the DPC, so I have started to dig up the floor to lower it but wanted some advice before proceeding further.
Would it be a good idea to lower the flooring outside and then place some stone over it, ensuring it doesn't breach the dpc and will this fix my damp problem?
