Can I Just Damp Proof the one Wall to Resolve Basement Damp Issues?

Hey,
I had someone come around to look at my damp issue and got quote £15k. So I decided to take a look at it myself, it looks like it's only the one wall that has a damp issue. After digging up the ground I think that I can just run a membrane across the wall and right down the hole I've dug. If I then lay the concrete on top then water can drip down the membrane to below the floor without the need for a pumping system.
I think this might work because the soil beneath the concrete floor was quite dry so I'm guessing it drains well. I've added some photos for your perusal,
Many thanks,
Anthony.
