Wet Wall in the Bedroom in Cottage Flat

Hello,
My partner and I moved into a newly purchased flat. It's a cottage flat. A week after moving in we woke up to drops in the ceiling sliding down the wall.
My first thought was that we must have a leak somewhere or the gutter needs cleaning. My partner checked the attic and he didn't locate any wet/damp spots or any holes in the roof. There are long thick nails sticking out of the room, so my guess was that's where the water is dripping from. But, as I said, the attic was dry. The gutter had no holes either and was relatively clean.
For the past week, we have been leaving the bedroom door opened (I read on the forum to do that in order for air to circulate better) and the wall/ceiling have been dry. The corner of the bedroom was a bit wet when the temperature fell 5 degrees below 0. Last night, however, I forgot to leave the door opened and we woke up to, again, water drops on the ceiling and the wall. Of course, the window is also very wet.
Can you please advise how to get rid of it? The room is also very cold even when the radiator is on.
Much appreciated!
