Replastered Kitchen Damp Patching Appearing

We have recently had the kitchen re-plastered. After drying out we noticed these patches after it had rained. These then dried out but several days later a few marks reappeared on a dry day.

Before replastering, the plaster was quite bobbly and had come away from the wall hence why it was re-plastered.

Can anyone advise if this is due to damp? The wall is an external wall though there are no obvious holes or pointing issues on the other side.

Thanks

Hi,
These look very much like soot stains coming through from an old chimney.
If your outside wall is single skin you need to do something to correct this.if it's a cavity wall, dry lining and replastering will sort the problem.
