Hello everybody I'm posting on behalf of my mum basically she rents a 3 bedroom property however in the box room there is alot of mould growth she has spoken to the landlord and he has said the reason for it is due to a new sealed bathroom she had installed by grant cause she has bad mobility problems however the bathroom is on the other side of the property he tried to say that when we shower condensation is moving from the bathroom travelling across the hall threw the door and into the box room however we have had about 9 showers and the wall is dry it seems to get wet when it rains we also have alot of mould growth in the kitchen behind the cabinets above the bathroom and the front room above the box room has tiny bit of mould too interestingly there is no mould growth in the bathroom and each time we shower a window is left open my mum suggested to the landlord it could be a problem with the guttering all the landlord did was get his binoculars out and have 2 min look from the ground what I'm asking is if a professional could please read threw this and give there opinion on if what the landlord has said is true thank you.

Hi rawlinsonx8
Condensation forming in the box room seems unlikely but, try leaving the box room window open permanently. An extractor linked to the light or a humidistat should have been installed as part of the bathroom refit.
