Condensation or something more sinister

Hi,
In the corner of our wall in our bedroom we have a damp spot. Nothing on the ceiling and doesn't particularly feel wet to touch. We've been in the house 7 years and not had it before but like the rest of the population have had the heating on much less this winter. So wondered if the cold could be a factor hitting hot air as we have an en suite with shower in that room. We had gutters sofits and facias replaced 2 years ago so wondered if there could be an issue with those but didn't have any problems last year. At a glance from the outside all the pointing looks fine, have insulation above it in the loft but can't get up close for a detailed inspection. Doesn't particularly get worse when it rains. Interested in people's opinions as to whether it's just condensation or something more serious.
The first pic is of it at it's peak in winter. It's only the circled bit, the rest below is my shadow ;-)
The below pic is how it looks now.
Really appreciate any feedback guys.
