Wet Rot in Shed Roof

Hi,
Having successfully sealed a shed roof that has been leaking for years, I was wondering if I need to treat the timber in the roof. The timber where the leaks were is brown and almost black in places with one area showing patches of white. Should I apply a fungicide and possibly wood hardener or will stopping the ingress of water be enough?
