Anyone have advice as how to address soft white mold in the bottom corners of the certain kitchen cupbaords? This mold spreads upwards. Also the dark specs appear on the inside of the opening doors. I have only used a mold wash so far on the affected areas but want to address the problem.

Thanks

Stephen.

Go to our project on damp proof injection (small jobs) and click through to the company in there (property repair systems) they offer free telephone advice with no obligation on all subjects to do with property repair and especially damp and moulds etc.

Its difficult solving damp problems in enclosed areas. Its likley to be cause by condensation. The cure for this being a balance of heating and ventilation which is not really possible in a cupboard. Try putting in a bowl of salt or buying a 'damp box' from a caravan centre. Salt and the crystals in the damp boxes are hygroscopic. this means they will attract the moisture and this may prevent as much condensation from forming, thus cutting down or curing your problem.
