i have just removed some tiles from my kitchen wall and am wanting to re lay them in a different location. Whilst removing them, the adhesive is still attached to the back of the tiles and a few have plaster attached. what is the best way to clean the back of the tiles??

Step the tiles in water for a few days and it will soften the adhesive which you can then scrape off.

this thread would be better placed and may get more responses in the tiles and tiling forum.
you would also have found your answer already addressed there, it's quite a common question on that forum. the best way is to use a hot air gun, the type used for stripping old paint, and a scraper. soaking in boiling water can also help. either way it's laborious and tedious with no real short cuts.
