by saunderstrish » Wed Nov 12, 2008 7:27 pm

well i desided instead of stripping one wall of woodchip i would use some gastly smoothover paste stuff that well didnt do as it was meant to!!!!
so now i have, how can i describe it?, acne looking wall. so the question is can i use a lining paper, will it still show through??? any other suggestion other than putting woodchip back on and moving out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i am very much a damsil in distress!!!

unfortunately the imperfections will show through the lining paper. your only option i'm afraid is to strip the wall back to bare plaster - this will probably require skimming as the woodchip is obviously hiding something.

you could skim straight over the top of what you have, though longevity of the work could not be guaranteed.
