removing distemper from plastic

Does anyone have any tips on how to do this w1thout dulling the sheen on the plastic? Some comes off with very hot water. Would apprecitae any advice

Puzzled, as Distemper was not in use, when plastic was invented, to the best of my recollection.
If you mean emulsion, then meths should dissolve it, but more info required really

Please clarify what it is you are trying to remove from the plastic.

Distemper went out with the Ark - its very unlikely its distemper IMHO.

In that case, Meths should soften and deal with it, but it may be a long job.

You might also like to try hot water and a pan scourer. Its probably not adhered very well to the plastic.
