We are having a new bathroom fitted, we are getting a plumber in to do the bath toilet and sink. my question is what is the best way to remove the current tiles on the wall without damaging it? is it the hammer or can you buy drill bits to chip them off.

Hi c1derarmy, there are a couple of ways to do it use a bolster and hammer and hope for the best, sometimes they will just pop off. Once you have got the first ones off the rest are easier. If you go on a site like e-bay you can get a tool that goes on a hammer drill and do it that way. Either way there is a good chance of some or all the plaster coming off the walls. Or you could be lucky and next to none will come off. Whichever way you decide to do it make sure you put cloth over the floor to pick the stuff up in and don't pick up too much at a time as it can get very heavy. Also the cloth will save you having to pick up all the little bits which can be quite sharp. Good luck.
