is there an easy of blending polyfiller in without leaving a jion line?
no matter how carefully i sand it, when trying to get the edge out, the plaster always disappears quicker than the edge of the polyfiller!!

any help would be grand

Sounds like you are using the ready-mixed stuff, try the dry powder polyfilla - always works well for me.
