After some weeks,, my ceiling paper starts coming away from the polystyrene veneer. I have repeatedly used the strongest wallpaper adhesive to repair this but without success.
I am now reluctantly thinking of trying to strip off the paper and the polystyrene veneer completely. Any suggestions please?

Try a ready mix adhesive which is used for heavy duty wide vinyl. Or some slightly thinned pva and paste. paste the paper 1st and leave it to soften and stretch 1st before sticking back.
