Low odour paint and painting on to a new plastered wall

by cicero » Thu Sep 05, 2013 7:35 pm

Hi,

We have just had a small extension done and the walls and ceiling are of course new plaster are there any special preparations I need to do to the plaster or can I simply put on new emulsion straight away?

Also does anyone have experience of low odour paints (gloss and emulsion) as I suffer from
asthma and am not keen on using normal gloss as I tend to suffer afterwards.

Many thanks in advance would appreciate any advice.

New plaster needs to be dust free and then mist coated, watered down emulsion first before putting on top coats
There is lots of eco friendly extremely low voc paints on the market
