hi,
Am living in Italy and have just had a kitchen wall reconfiguration before the units are installed.

have had tiles applied around which kitchen will be installed. The area below the tiles (photo) will not be seen as the kitchen base units will hide it. The builder seems to have done a light skim of concrete as far as i can understand.

It is very dusty and easily broke up when I gave it a light sanding with paper.

What should I cover it with? Anything?

The area above the tiles has been plastered I believe . It has a very pale pinky sandy colour. [photo]. This area will be exposed in the future kitchen, between the units on either side. Can I just paint this with a primer then emulsion? Or something else?

all advice greatly appreciated by this diy novice, thanks
