I have followed advice hot to paint new skimmed plasterboards (they are foilbacked and were skimmed approx. 8 weeks ago) and watered down (1l water to 4l litres paint) emulsion to provide a key. By my stupid mistake I did this with SILK emulsion instead of MATT emulsion which I picked up from matt paints shelf.....Do I need to strip down completely the whole room or is there any other solution to avoid peeling of the paint in the future - I tested small area, which I went over with some sugarsoap water and painted matt over, it looks just fine, but I'm still worried what can happen in the next weeks, will it start cracking (as told by staff @ Dulux paints) or will it simply peel off? Can anyone help?
