Advice Needed After Painting Bare Plaster in Kitchen

by maggiecooling » Wed May 31, 2017 10:38 pm

Some years ago I painted the raw plaster inside two kitchen cabinets ( with no backboards ) with ordinary emulsion, not realizing that this is not advisable. Do I need to remove this, if so how? Is there any way I can 'lock in' this paint and repaint with organic safe kitchen paint?

apparently, i need to do a mist coat or 2 to seal the plaster. have been told to use white watered down emulsion to do this. i have a full tin of magnolia matt paint lying around, can i use this or does it have to be white
