Good morning, first time poster here. I was keen to find out what the best method is to stain or varnish softwood cladding? The wood has been used for a seating area in a conservatory and I am keen to stain or varnish it a slightly darker shade than it is. No other preperation has been carried out on the wood.

Any recommendations on the type of stain would also be welcomed.
