Bathroom Wall and Old Paint Showing Through

Please help!
Bought our house with some horrible red paint on the bathroom walls (it gets quite a bit of condensation in there). We wanted white walls so bought some Johnstones trade scrubbable paint and applied a couple coates after sanding the walls down. As you can see from the picture the red paint shows through in a mottled effect?! Can someone tell me how we can get just a white wall please, should I apply an undercoat of 20% PVA before a final coat?
Thanks I’m advance!
