Hiya! A bit of a long story here.

Walls were replastered and then were sized with 3 coats of 50/50 Matt/water paint about a month later.

Two months later and papering began. So total 3 months since plastering.

The paper was "paste the wall" Superfresco Easy.

When putting on, no issues and dried lovely, however, now (just under a month later) the edges of the paper have developed a large (about 4mm) gap and the edges have curled in.

The wall where it is worst is a chimney breast, with a new gas fire.

I'm wondering if the heat from the fire and in the house in general (a very hot house, with heating on all day) Or could it be the wall?
As if it was the application of have expected it to happen much sooner?

All advice as to the cause and remedy welcome!

Thank you all in advance!

You say you sized the wall but actually you mist coated the walls, sizing is apply a thin coat of water down wallpaper paste to the walls and allowing to dry.
Paste the wallpaper sounds a great idea. but I never paste the wall and then hang the paper, I still paste the paper as usual on a paste table then I know all the backing of the paper has paste on it and then I hang it. What paste did you use solvite, beeline, ?
