Just taken delivery of a couple of bedside tables, which are a light grey/silver wood effect and realise the rest of the bedroom furniture doesn'y match very well (beech effect from IKEA!)
One thought is to paint these a light grey colour, but, it would be even better if we could introduce a grain effect to them and I see that there are tools knocking around to help do this. However, I do not know what I'll need and/or how to do this......can someone offer advice, please?
Is the idea to put a few coats of gloss paint (matt) as the base coat and then use a lighter paint for the "grain"?
I have seen talk of Scumble Glaze.....is this what I should be using for top coat do you get clear glaze and add colouring or can you buy ready-coloured?
Sorry there's so many basic questions but, as you can tell, I am a newbie in this area!
