Sealing Bathroom Vanity to Wall

Hello
The sealant between the top of my bathroom vanity and the wall has failed - see photo.
Once I remove the old sealant, I'm considering attaching a piece of polished stainless steel half round moulding to the wall. The bottom edge would be flush to the top of the vanity which is also polished stainless.
Would half round moulding be suitable or would angle moulding be a better option and what's the best adhesive for me to use to attach the moulding?
My main concern is ease of cleaning.
