Paint Peeling off wall 24 Hours After Painting it on

Recently painted a room and after 24 hours the paint had started to peel off, all old paint had been removed and all walls scuffed.
Below the the paint was some sort of filler primer, it sands off easy and doesn't seem to have the consistency of paint, it comes off as dust when scraped off will a blade.
Can anyone help me solve the problem as covering all walls with lining paper would go over the planned schedule.

Hi Muneeb,
Just wondering as we seem to be having the same problems with our walls, did you find a way to resolve it? I see no one has replied on here
Many thanks

I had this happen a few years ago to me. I was told it was due to the paster not have been sealed properly before it was initially painted. Apparently the plaster will soak up the paint the first time it is painted which is fine until you try to paint it again. It was a Dulux paint that it happened to be with and when I contacted them they actually arrange (after some gentle persuasion!!) to get a someone out to fix it. The poor guy that came to fix it had to pick the paint off the ceiling (it was a textured ceiling), seal it and then paint it. I was assured the same thing wouldnt happen on the walls but it did. Dulux arranged for the same guy to come back to fix the walls too which was, thankfully, a much easier job because the walls could be sanded.
The flat was about 5-6 years old when it happened to me if that helps.
