Making the Most of Bad Walls With Many Small Cracks

by Loopi320 » Thu Dec 26, 2019 3:17 pm

I stripped the paper off my walls in the hallway and they have cracks everywhere, some worse than others but mainly smaller cracks. I don’t want to spend the money out to get it re-plastered as it’s a massive area so will cost a fortune!! I want to paint the walls and just accept there will be cracks and ‘go with it’. I want it a fairly dark blue and was thinking of maybe using a suede/textured paint or maybe mixing sand in so it’s a rougher finish? Any advice on this? Or any other ideas on what would look ok? I happy with embracing the rough and shabby look on the walls as skirtings, ceilings and carpet will be nice and just want to make the most of it but all I can find is info on how to repair the plaster instead of just going with it!
Any advice will me much appreciated!
