Possible fix for bad chalky paint finish

I had my hallway and landing painted professionally. I wan the and farrow and ball but he recommended Johnstone’s which can provide an exact match.

This saved me £200+ so I was happy to go ahead with that on his recommendation.

The colour is spot on however the finish it awful! Really chalky. Marks show up really easily and you can’t wipe it without leaving more marks (I have a toddler so a wipeable was very important and I made this clear).

Is there anything I can do to fix the finish? Be contemplated buying some of the original paint I wanted and painting one coat of that on top for the right finish. This is far from ideal as the only reason I scraped the money together for the professional was because I can’t reach the difficult areas. It’s just me and my daughter here.

Any thoughts? Slowly watching the money I paid to down the drain which is very depressing.

Hi becky2020.
Your suggestion to buy the right paint is really the only solution, just make sure you buy a wipeable paint.
