Paint or filler on panelling in bathroom

by gemma2014 » Mon Apr 05, 2021 10:52 pm

We have wood panelling in our bathroom that was installed before we moved in so I don't know what type it is or how it's installed. I don't think it's individual strips of wood, I think it's panels to look as though it is.

However, over time some gaps have appeared.between some sections. I don't know if it's the paint that's worn away due to expansion or if they've physically come apart.

I'm looking for advice on if I'm best just simply repainting or fill it with something first?

Hi gemma2014
You will never stop the expansion and contraction of panelling in a bathroom, suggest you fill the cracks with flexible decorators filler.
