Interior window replacement with frosted glass

We have an interior window between our kitchen and bathroom. It's been boarded up, presumably for privacy, but I'm wondering if it's possible to replace the chipboard (or whatever they've used to board it up) with some frosted glass instead? That way we'll get the light from the kitchen but still maintain the privacy. I just don't know how we'd go about it!

Hi rosefishbird
You will have to remove the boarding and see what is underneath.
