Painting over enamel on steel

I want to buy a 3 tier steel kitchen trolley. It is covered in white enamel paint, however I want to paint it a forest green. Amazon says it is steel coated in enamel paint, so do I need to remove the existing enamel paint, or can I just paint over it? And do I need a primer? This is my first DIY job so any information would be helpful please. And any recommendations regarding paint brands or other things I'd need (eg. primer) would be appreciated too. Thanks!

Hi sophiewilkinson15,
The existing finish will be paint so suggest you buy a spray can in the colour of your choice. Do wipe over the trolley with a cleaner to remove any preservative and scratch the surface all over with a fine wire wool to provides a key
Apply the paint sparingly in a well ventilated area and wear a mask. Good luck!
