hi,

i am about to make some fitted wardrobes for our bedroom in my modest workshop at the back of the garden. i am going to use mdf then paint them. i am thinking of buying a spray gun to do this as its quicker and gives a nicer, more professional finish. cant be doing with brushes and rollers and gloss paint! too messy and looks tatty in no time.

can anybody recommend one? what would be the minimum that i should consider spending to carry out such a task? i want one that can do the job to a decent spec but i am not looking to become a commercial spray painter!

also, are there different types of gun for different types of paint?

thanks,

chris

hi with paint sprayers you have to thin the paint and so you need more coats.
you will also need to practice a lot as it is tricky to master in order to get a good finish
i have been useing them for 2 years and it took me about 10 trys even to get a allright finish
the beat for small jobs is the ealux hvlp make sure you get a hvlp system as you have more controle
hope this helps
