Draining shower into soak-away

We'd like to install a shower in our converted garage but it's very difficult to get the water into an existing drain. Are there regulations against draining a shower into a soak-away (it's strictly a shower only that is being installed, no toilet).
thanks

Shower water is classed as foul water so no a soakaway would not be allowed.
Plus the soakaway would have to be a good size for the amount of water being used. Soakaways are normally used for rain water or boiler condensate, which is not much water so will easily disperse.
What's the problem with the drainage ? you can pump shower waste water - look at Whale pumps
