Hopefully an easy one here  ....
can I fit my bath and sink waste to a rainwater downpipe that then falls directly to a drain??
Thanks!

Hi Drewks,
Short answer = No. Unless the drain is a foul/soil drain.

Thanks for your reply....so if this drain (only stuff into it directly is rain and sink/bath- 60's house) is connected to the foul, which I'm pretty sure it is, this would be Ok?

Sorry - showing my ignorance here! - the downpipe (with present bath & sink waste entering this via a hopper) empties into a surface drain; also into here drains the kitchen sink. This is then connected into the foul drain underground......
.....is this therefore OK to basically redo this arrangement when modernising my bathroom, obviously chucking the hopper and connecting the basin & bath wastes directly to the rainwater downpipe?

Yes if it eventually goes into a foul drain
