have downstairs cleakroom and have re-arranged to placement of wc and sink.
the waste pipe for the sink has been positioned under the concrete floor that the builder dug up.
question 1
is this right?
what happens if need to change the pipe at sometime
I thought the pipe should be above ground level going out of the wall to the manhole
any help appreciated

Hi Rose,
A single pipe going thru concrete vertically or nearly horizontal (correct fall) is ok IMO.

Could you please let me know what would be considered the correct flow for a waste pipe? If it differs by diameter then I'd be interested in 32mm and 40mm.
Thanks.

Not level or upwards, which I hope is obvious!!
I think its 1 in 40 ??

Thanks, I don't know if you are refering to my question or the original poster. Before I asked my question I checked the project and I have just repeated my search and can't find any information about gradients of pipes this diameter.

Hi AC. This post was not directed at you, Its a general post to get people to look at the projects. The fall of waste pipes is indeed 1 in 40 and is shown in our project on fitting waste pipes for basins etc project. Its also in the project on changing from a cast iron waste to a plastic waste.
