Just recently due to the drains being blocked by leaves, seeds etc, bathwater has come back into my flat. Is it necessary to have a return valve fitted in the bathroom to the pipe etc! if so where should it be located

Putting a non-return valve in is fixing the symptom not the cause. The answer is to fix the drains.

Oh thanks for that this is what I have tried to tell the Managment Company, that it is the drains and not the fact that there is no return valve as I have suffered a second flood to my flat, but I think that they want to say that if I had a return valve the situation would not have arisen
