This has just started over the last month. After having a shower, my toilet has started to omit a drainage smell. We had leak in October 09 which came from the toilet has when it was fitted 18months ag the seal had been damaged. The toilet had a new flexible hose fitted in October but the smell has now appeared every now and agian after using the shower.

Check and see if an air admittance valve has been fitted in the bathroom, if this is not sealing properly it may be the source of the smell.

we don't have an air admittance valve fitted, just a flexible plastic hose that fits over the drain hole in the floor and over the waste part of the toilet.
