Sprung Plug!!

by decaff » Fri Feb 19, 2010 9:40 am

Hi all, please could somebody help me out with my pain in the a$$ spring sink plug?! It has not been right since being fitted 10 months ago. When you press the plug it sometimes will not release, this morning I think it has finally jammed shut for good. In the past I have tried Lithium grease but this just washed away after a few days even though the local hardware shop said it would do the job.

1. Any ideas how I can release the plug?
2. What can I do to make the mechanism freer?

Any advice would be much appreciated....thanks Paul

decaff,
Replace the waste with a conventional plug and chain.
end
