Showerforce 1000XM died last night ?

Hi
Just at the end of my shower, as I was hosing down the shower cubicle, the main trip in my fuse went.
The house electrics refused to turn back on until I turned off the main shower power switch (outside the bathroom door).
Now I'm guessing this is something to do with the shower.
The plastic front panel doesn't seem terribly water-tight to me (in fact a couple of the screws / screw holes have threaded or split & don't tighten properly), so maybe some water go into the unit whilst hosing down & shorted it ?
Or maybe the motor died ?
I haven't had chance to test it again yet (will do so tonight).
Any ideas ?
Also, can you recommend a good, reliable replacement for this unit ?
thanks
