A plumber has installed a Plumbworld shower enclosure so that the door opens inwards. The handle is on the inside. This doesn't look right. He asserts it was the only way it would fit. Is this correct?

I can't remember ever having seen a cubicle with a pivot door opening inwards. It is usually avoided because it is obviously difficult to shut the door whilst you are standing in the cubicle.

That is not to say it is definitely wrong as there are hundreds of different designs and manufactures are changing their products constantly.

Generally, any fixings, hinges and screws are inside the cubicle. The door should be inside the frame so any water that hits the door runs down and into the tray. Spray the door with water to ensure it is water tight.

The handle is not always a indication which way round the panel goes as it is often fitted during installation.
