Minimalist Dual Mixer Shower Making Thumping Noise and Hot Water Only Tepid

Hi..I'm Ivor and I wonder if anyone can help me with my shower mixer..it's about 3 years old but now makes a thumping noise when turned on and even though it's right round to hot it only comes out tepid(all other taps are fine)..before I replace it can I check it out..cheers
