Low Shower Pressure With new Thermostatic Bar Shower

Have just had a thermostatic bar shower installed and are very unhappy with the flow pressure. It connects to a combi-boiler and replaces a concentric model that performed much better.

The shower cost around £250 so we expect much more from it.

I rang the manufacturer ad they told me two things:
1. That there are new restrictions on water usage so new models won't be as powerful as older ones.
2. That bar showers are never as powerful as concentric ones due to the extra bit of pipe length (that narrows?).

So it would be good to know where the problem might lie before I contact the plumber and blame him for doing a lousy installation job!

Thanks for any assistance you can give.

you don't say if the shower is wall mounted or bath/shower taps

It's wall mounted.

Sometimes the problem over the water pressure on a shower is the level area of the source of your water. If the source is below your shower then it would cause a lack of pressure.
